Joy; Bad or Good?
We start with a high-level review of the entire book of Luke. Jesus shows patience as He works on helping His disciples to believe that He has risen from the dead and is in the flesh. We see that joy is keeping them from believing and later it is joy that motivates them to move forward after Jesus blesses them and then ascends into the clouds.
